Beach cottage on a tropical island

We spent the weekend in this beach cottage last year and I want to experience this again. I slept by an open window with the warm sea breeze and the sound of crashing waves on the shore. It was one of the best nights that I slept. Pearl Farm Resort, on Samal Island, was 45 minutes by boat away from Davao City. This was definitely closer to travel compared to the pristine, barely developed beach and islets of Britania, Surigao. The accommodation was good and the food was excellent. There were some cultural dance presentation that my granddaughter extremely enjoyed. The cost of the weekend stay was a bit expensive ($$$) but we knew that it was one of the best beach resort in the area.

The main dining hall was inside this beach cottage. This was right after dusk and darkness comes early when you are closer to the equator. The lights were all turned on and attractively bright. It was in contrast to its dark background. Dinner was almost ready and the hall was being prepared for the banquet.
