The Bicycle Lanes

The Bicycle Lanes

A black and white photograph of the dedicated bicycle lanes on a bridge of the Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail. The photograph shows parallel lines demarcating the bicycle lanes. It extends as a vanishing point into the horizon.

The bicycle lanes offer some of the outdoor recreational activities for enthusiasts. I walked part of the pedestrian bridge trail parallel to the 7-mile bridge of the Florida Keys. This was the day before we embarked on a drive through the Overseas Highway of Key West. It was a wonderful experience of getting some walking exercise, feeling the salt water air and sun on your face, seeing the open expanse of the sea, and taking photographs! This part of the trail extends from the 7-mile bridge vista point to Pigeon Key.

    • There’s something about black and white that creates a timeless photograph. Color gives life to a photograph. Black and white seems to suspend time.
