The blast from the pipe organ of Ingreja da Lapa in Porto, Portugal was enough to startle us. We haven’t heard a pipe organ played during a mass service in a while. This was different. The tones were perfect to our untrained ears. The claim that this pipe organ is the finest in the Portugal peninsula was well-founded.

We attended the last mass scheduled for the day. It was a very unique experience of a Sunday mass service celebrated in Portuguese and accompanied by the finest pipe organ in the Portuguese peninsula.
