We take you back in time to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The fading light has transformed a scene into a scenic evening at Prinsengracht, Amsterdam. Prinsengracht (Prince’s Canal) is the most famous and longest canal in the city of Amsterdam.

This was a scene that we had to imprint in our memory. It was a scene straight out of books and photographs. We were standing atop Leliesluis, also known as Bridge 61, a famous bridge crossing Prinsengracht and connecting Leliegracht street.

In this scene, the Westerkerk (western church) can be seen at the background. The Protestant church became famous, among other things, for its rich 17th century architecture and cultural history.

The scene also showed people engaging in their evening walk along the riverbanks. Bright lights were illuminating the people seated in restaurants on the opposite riverbank.

The iconic canal boats continued plying their routes despite the fading light.
