Cades Cove is a scenic valley in the great Smoky Mountains National Park. It features a one-way, 11 miles of scenic route to enjoy the beauty of the valley. It is also a great opportunity to encounter wildlife like deer and black bears.
We did the 11-mile drive along the loop. Traffic was slow because of the number of vehicles along the route. There were also a lot of stops due to vehicles stopping in the middle of the road when wildlife was encountered.
We learned the Wednesdays are reserved for hikers and bicycle riders. No cars.
Random photographs of our past travels. Memories found and captured in a photograph.

It’s always great to encounter wildlife, but it’s even better when there aren’t any (or many) cars around to block the road or the views!
