This is an unsettling time. Not scary, just unsettling. The uncertainty of COVID19 and how little we know about it are making people act in strange ways. Everyday, we browse the internet and try to scourge for some information about what’s new. We struggle to find legitimate information.
The shelves of a local pharmacy are turning up empty. People don’t want to hoard but also don’t want to end up empty handed. The ones who suffer are the ones who really need the medications but can’t find it anymore.
A fellow went to a local grocery. He picked an item that he needed for his family. The store clerk, upon seeing him pick one item said, “Just one? That item has been flying off the shelf and it will be gone before the end of the day.” The fellow knew that more than one item is too much and he hesitated. He thought about it and picked two of the item. The scenario was both comical and tragic. Getting two items was ridiculous but ending up empty handed later on will be tragic.
I am hoping for the best.
