Experiencing Toledo’s Paved Cobblestones: A Traveler’s Tale

It hasn’t been that long but our feet were starting to get sore from walking. We were in Toledo, Spain. Our local tour guide was leading the way through its paved, narrow streets. Yes, the streets were paved. Paved with centuries-old stone and cobblestone that made walking a bit tricky. Time has made the cobblestone sloped and unsteady for walking.

It was when we saw the couple seated on the steps of the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. It looked like they were eating a big meal!

No, we were not jealous of the food nor with the cold drink that was dripping with condensation. We were jealous that they were sitting! Their feet were rested while ours were sore from walking.

Random photographs of our travels. Memories found and captured in a photograph.

  1. Amazing the sites we can see when we travel. After a long day on your feet, I have no doubt sitting would have been a wish. Happy Friday. Allan
