Horse Guards is the historic building serving as barracks and stables for the household cavalry. The historical function of the building was military headquarters for the British empire. It was also entrance to the Palace of Whitehall and St. James Palace. They still ceremoniously guard the entrance.
Horses and guards look so majestic! Tourists seem to lay siege whenever horses and guards are at the entrance. Most are hoping to get a selfie with the majestic horses.
The second day of self-guided adventure in London was less tiring. There was less walking. The morning was spent sitting in a tour bus with a local tour guide pointing out and describing the local sites. It was a nice feeling knowing that one is not lost in the middle of a busy city.

Glad to hear your second day wasn’t as tiring. The horses and guards really do look majestic.
