Place Vauquelin is a small square right next to Montréal City Hall. It was one of our several short rest stop right after walking from Notre Dame Basilica Montréal to Montréal Old Port. Montréal’s Old Port area is a compact locality with lots of sightseeing stops.
We must have bothered the couple in the photograph. They were sitting by the fountain when we came by and started taking photographs. The statue of Jean Vauquelin in the middle of the fountain was interesting. Interesting enough for us to start searching Google. They were facing the camera when we started taking photographs. They gradually started standing and faced the other direction. We also noticed and were quite sorry that we bothered them. Reminder to photographer: Don’t bother people while taking photographs!
On the other hand, the photograph created a great composition. A couple, stopping by Place Vauquelin, making great memories while traveling. Thank you great couple!

Whoops! Sometimes you don’t even realize you’re bothering someone until they get up and move. The couple standing in front of the fountain did make for a good picture though!
I promise, I didn’t intend to intrude into their privacy. But, considering it was a public place then I wasn’t even thinking that I was bothering them.
