One charming attraction that we noticed were the bright pastel colored houses in Galveston, Texas. We first noticed it at East Beach. Like, it was freshly painted.

It made us remember an island in Italy, Burano, that we missed visiting. Its main attraction were the houses that were also painted with bright pastel colors. We ran out of time and it was raining almost every day. It was just one ferry ride from Venice.
What surprised us was later seeing all the newly built beach houses in pastel colors farther west of West Beach. The colonial Victorian design in pastel colors were making the houses very attractive.

Such beautiful houses. The pastel colours add some character and charm.
We did not see the colorful houses at Burano, Italy. We were fascinated by the colorful houses at Cinque Terre, Italy. We said, “wow!”, when we saw the pastel colored houses at Galveston. We don’t know whether it’s new or it has been there all the time but we certainly did see it this time.
