St. Mary’s Cathedral of Galveston, Texas is the primary Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of Galveston and Houston. It is also a minor basilica.
We attended Easter Sunday mass here. It is a very attractive cathedral that had to undergo a series of restorations following destruction by a hurricane. It is a small cathedral but we recognized the neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic designs. We are still not experts with cathedral architectural designs but we are starting to see familiar features. We were so happy that we are seeing architectural designs here in the USA that make us remember our travels to Europe.

Looks like a lovely cathedral. Glad to hear it was restored after the hurricane.
