It was balmy that day but the heat was starting to affect us. All the walking was making us adjust a bit of clothing or adjust the angle of the hat. No sweating yet!
We came upon an open space that looked like a square, but was not. It felt like at the edge of a hill slope, but was not. There was sun and shade in this space.
It offered us a partial view of the Bay of Tangier. We saw the beach with the tall buildings at the background. There was a clutter of rooftops at the foreground. The open space had people seated on colorful wooden chairs in front of Pharmacie Bab Bahr and Coffee Cultural Charifa.
Our local tour guide owns Coffee Cultural Charifa. He said that there used to be an unobstructed view of the Bay of Tangier and the lower Medina many years ago.

Not surprised to hear that there is now an obstructed view of the bay. Everyone wants to enjoy the views. And so the buildings just keep getting a bit taller. It’s the same here as well whenever there is some waterfront.
