London Skyline by the River Thames

The Iconic London Skyline: A Glimpse of Architectural Marvels

The London skyline by the river Thames looked cold and misty. We were by the north bank of the river Thames.

It was our first day in London. We did arrive too early for hotel check in and for our first official tour activity. The best way to pass our time was to sink in some of the beautiful sights on our own. Off we went on our own self-guided walking tour.

There were several of the tallest buildings that prominently mark the London skyline. Popular buildings, like the Fenchurch Building (the Walkie Talkie), WTW, and The Gherkin, dominated the skyline. These are the same buildings that are shown too frequently in the movies when the setting depicts London as the location of the movie scene.
