I was watching a pigeon on a windowsill of the alcazar. There were so many pigeons flying around. It was as if the pigeons were staking ownership of the place.

This particular pigeon was different. It sat perching on a windowsill of the alcazar. It was just watching. Tired? Bored? Sleepy? One can only guess. The photograph was taken at the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, Cordoba, Spain. We had just arrived from Toledo, Spain and we had around 30 minutes before the start of our tour of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba.
