Potions Cauldron

The Potions Cauldron aka 9 3/4 The Shambles

The Potions Cauldron wasn’t even visible upon entering The Shambles from the south side. The street was narrow, cobbled, and with a mix of old and new(ish) buildings. It was a weekday and the sun had set. Hence, the ambiance was that of a dimly-lit and narrow alleyway. Warm light from the still-open shops was illuminating part of the path. A few people were walking and looking through the shops’ window. It was looking mysterious.

Talk about Harry Potter was thick. It was said that the Shambles and The Potions Cauldron were inspirations for the scenes in Diagon Alley. I agree. It does look similar once the thought of Harry Potter has entered one’s mind.

The Little Shop That Must Not Be Named

The Little Shop That Must Not Be Named was catching everyone’s attention. It had a ring to it.

The Potions Cauldron was halfway down the street. It was barely noticeable with its weak, warm light and bottle-filled shelves. There was no one tending the shop. It was past business hours.

The Cobbled Street

We start heading down the street to check out the rest of the Shambles. It was getting more deserted. The darkness of the night was adding more to its mysterious look. It was a fun experience in York, UK.

Printing the photographs can be done on canvas, paper print or printed on accessories ( coffee mug, yoga mat, or tote bag).
