The ruins of the Temple of Poseidon can be seen at the top of Cape Suonio. The remaining doric columns is still looking magnificent and adorns what remains of the ruins. The temple was one of the last few places that we visited in Athens, Greece.

The site of the Temple of Poseidon was not spared from the vast crowd that visits the historic places in Greece. We were part of the crowd. It was a short walk up the hill in order to visit the site. The temple is all that remains on what was probably one of the grandest site in Greece.

A panoramic view of the surrounding sea can be seen from the top of Cape Suonio. By late afternoon, the sun has started setting and the crowd’s attention was directed towards the setting sun. It was one of the main attractions for Cape Suonio.
