It’s not much but we just want to brag. Our photograph at Fine Art America – Four Seasons Group was given the honor as top 20 of photographs taken at Yellowstone National Park.
We are proud!
The photograph was titled “Yellowstone River”. This was for the purpose of relating its location to be within Yellowstone National Park. The river’s name was actually Firehole River.
It was late afternoon, almost evening, when the photograph was taken. We were in a hurry to get back to our vehicle. Our lodging was at the West Gate. We do not do so well with driving in the pitch-black darkness of the park. Now, between the spewing geysers, the massive bisons, the tall elks, and the small critters crossing the roadway, we wanted just to get back to the comfort of our lodging.
The light from the setting sun was hitting the water, the steam from the mineralized river banks, and the partially burned trees just right. We just had to stop in the middle of the bridge and catch the fleeting light. We knew that there might not be another time to experience it.
Random photographs of our travels. Memories found and captured in a photograph.
