Travel stories & photography circa 2024: Florida, was a trip that was discussed many times over but didn’t become a reality immediately. It took some stroke of luck and timing. Key West, Florida was beach, sea, easy-going life, and Ernest Hemingway in our minds. It was exciting heading to Key West, Florida. These travel stories & photography in Florida are worth sharing.

Travel Planning & Outcome

We landed in Tampa International Airport after a short domestic flight for our travel stories & photography in Florida. The rental minivan was already booked and all we had to do was pick it up at the nearby rental vehicle building. It was a short drive to a cousin’s place where we spent the next few nights. The girls did a lot catching up and gossip. The guys did their best with small talk and staying out of the girls’ way.

We drove all the way to the southernmost tip of Key West – 90 miles north of Cuba. There were a lot of stops along the way to visit and see the interesting sites. Our hotel was in Marathon, Florida – the halfway point between Key Largo and the tip of Key West. The cost of staying in a hotel there was cheaper compared to Key West. This trip created some of our best travel stories & photography in Florida.
