A Road Trip: Exploring the Painted Churches of Schulenburg

The Painted Churches of Schulenburg is a cluster of colorful and intricately designed churches built by Czech and German settlers. The churches reportedly imitated the interior design of the grand churches of Europe. The Texas Hill Country has around twenty painted churches. The identity as The Painted Churches of Schulenburg, I think, was because of its proximity to Schulenburg.

We embarked on a road trip to visit as many Painted Churches as possible.
