The Ahl Fas Mosque, a Royal Palace Mosque, located within the Royal Palace grounds in Rabat, Morocco.
The bus was rolling gently to a stop as we were watching the minaret come into view. We came gathering around as a small group in the wide open space beside the mosque. We couldn’t help getting distracted during the huddle by the intricate design of the mosque. The entrance was featuring a horseshoe design with classic North African and Andalusian architecture.
Pillars were lining the hallway outside the mosque. The light was gently spilling onto its stone floors.
It required quite a bit of walking to get to the front gate of the Royal Palace. Even so, we could only watch from across the street while the Royal Guards were holding their positions.

Sounds like it was worth the bit of walking to get to the front gate.
It was worth it but we secretly wished that we could have sneaked a bit of view inside the palace. Just wishing.
