Capturing Moments: The Louvre Pyramid at Dawn

A photograph of a couple in the shadow viewing the Louvre Pyramid. The Louvre Pyramid is a glass and steel structure that functions as the entrance to the subterranean lobby of the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

We were too early at The Louvre. Too early because we wanted to catch the early rays of the morning sun. Too early because we wanted to see The Louvre without the horde of tourists. We were warned about the crowd. True enough, the crowd started to trickle in even before the morning sun had the chance to fully light up the courtyard.

Random photographs of our travels. Memories found and captured in a photograph.

  1. Lovely photo. We visited the Louvre many years ago (2005?) during our daughter’s spring break from high school; we arrived a little after opening and there were just a few people waiting to get in. It’s certainly not like that now!
