Eskimo Curlew

The bird, a sculpture of the Eskimo Curlew, is dedicated to its memory. The bird was hunted to extinction in the late 1900s. The species was lost but it started the effort to save other species. Now, birds like the Whopping Crane, are back from the brink of extinction.

The trail was leading to where the sculpture was set. There were signage relating to the sculpture hence we gained the knowledge of its extinction.

Random photographs of our travels. Memories found and captured in a photograph.
