Casa Mila was another Gaudi-designed building in Barcelona, Spain. It was the last private residence that Guadi designed for its owner. La Pedrera was its other name because of its rough, undulating and twisting design resembling a quarry.

Touring Casa Mila was at the top of our list of things-to-do. Antoni Gaudi was a very celebrated architect. We wanted to view closely one of his celebrated work. Through Casa Mila, we tried to picture the way of life in Barcelona during its the heyday. The furnitures and furnishings certainly did look different and were reminiscent of its time period.
We have the opinion that the work of Antoni Gaudi inspired a lot of other designers to create their own unique design. Just like the work of Santiago Calatrava and Felix Candela in Valencia.

Antoni Gaudi’s work can be seen in different locations in Barcelona. Their appearance were unmistakable. It was like Gaudi himself autographed all of them. In the end, there was no other thing to do except give praises to the architect and for all the work that he has done. He defined a period in the history of Barcelona and his work will be staying for a long period of time.
We will be seeing another Gaudi-designed building tomorrow, La Sagrada Familia.

One of the highlights of our visit to Barcelona was seeing Gaudi’s work. We did a tour through Casa Mila too.
