On a whim, we were on the road again! This time, we decided to check out Lake Texoma.
Lake Texoma was created with the building of Denison dam across the Red River and Washita River. This was at the northern border of Texas and the southern border of Oklahoma. The impounding of the water created opportunities for hydroelectric power generation, water recreation, and water storage.
We found a scenic Lake Texoma from the shores of a gated golf course community. It required a pass to get into their marina area. Close by was a gravel hiking trail bordered by well kept grass, trees, and the lake.

Looks like a peaceful spot to enjoy nature
Surprisingly, it was quite peaceful. A few people on picnic or hiking the gravel trail.
