Quad Bike Ride at Agafay Desert

We finally had our chance for our quad bike rides. It was time to explore the rocky surface of the stone desert.

First, we had to wait for all the quad bikes to circle around and park. There were five groups of eight to ten bikes. Each one can ride two persons.

The bikes were quite worn. All were layered with dust and some were caked in mud. Many were scratched and some had broken fenders. All had growling engines and ready to go for another round of the desert trails.

Safety first! Helmets on, glasses on, and scarves wrapped around our faces!

Off we went following our trail guide. The trail was tricky with visibility limited by dust and slippery with the loose rocks. Some brave young souls were trying to drift the quad bikes on the loose rocks. This was frowned upon immediately by the trail guide.

The ride was scary and exciting at the same time. Probably boring for the brave young souls who were not able to let their spirits fly.

Random photographs of our travels. Memories found and captured in a photograph.
