Sacred Heart Catholic Church is another Catholic Church in Galveston. We decided to visit this church since we haven’t really explored Galveston aside from going to the seawall.
The practice of visiting churches is common among Catholics during the Lenten season. It is commonly done on Thursday of the Holy Week.
We attended Easter mass and admired the neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic design of St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica. The thought came up of visiting the other Catholic Churches. At the same time, we can fulfill a belated tradition of visiting churches on Holy Week.

We tried to visit but it was closed.
Random photographs of our travels. Memories found and captured in a photograph.

Too bad it was closed
We felt bad about it. Though, we thought that it was a case of expectation versus reality. 99% (our estimate) of churches in Europe were open all the time for anybody to go in. We are finding out that more churches here are closed outside of time of service. There must be a reason to it.
