The last attraction that we visited was Capela do Senhor da Pedra in Miramar Beach of Vila Nova de Gaia near Porto, Portugal. It was a hexagonal shaped chapel that was built on a rocky outcropping by Miramar beach and on the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The rocky outcropping was used by ancient pagans for nature worship. In the 17th century, the Catholic church built the chapel on top of the rocky outcropping to Christianize it. Inside, the chapel has a simple altar that was designed in gilded Rococo manner.
