We were on the last few days of our travels in Portugal. Today, in Lisbon, we decided to head out on our own to explore the capital city of Portugal. Joining a group tour is always wonderful but it has some limitations on exposure to a destination.
Five miles (eight kilometers) east of the Monument of Discoveries, on the northern bank of the Tagus river, we found an original concept of an interesting market.
Multi-vendor community markets, whether seasonal or permanent, that we had visited domestically relied on local vendors to sell their products. This appears to be the same as the markets that we had visited globally.
This market, a permanent market in Lisbon, editorially selected the top vendors in food, drinks, and cultural creations to open booths. In such a way, the best food, drink, and dry goods choices are available. Vendors are rotated periodically.

We visited the market when we were in Lisbon, George. We always enjoy the big markets and their impressive variety.
We found good food in that market. I got a taste of a local craft beer too.
