We arrived at the popular Miradouro da Graça in Lisbon, Portugal, whose name in English translates to “Graça Viewpoint” or “Graça’s Viewpoint.” The word Graça itself means “grace.”
Miradouro da Graça offers a stunning panoramic view of São Jorge Castle, Lisbon’s red rooftops, and the Tagus River.
Upon arriving, the first thing that caught our attention was the melodic sound of an electric guitar. In the middle of the crowd at the viewpoint, playing as if no one else were there, sat a woman with her electric guitar. We appreciate buskers, though not all of them—it depends on the kind of music they play. This woman was playing a distinctly “Portuguese” tune.
