Look closer! Pleasure Pier is the tiny speck at the background. This photograph was taken at the East Beach facing west. Most people go to that side of Galveston. It has the more festive look of Galveston.

Aside from West Beach, there is Jamaica Beach adjacent to the beach area of Galveston Island State Park. We think that we can fairly say that it has almost the same vibe as the East Beach. Jamaica Beach was where we used to hang out. We parked the truck by the shore and enjoyed the afternoon sea breeze.
